Cecil (セシル, Seshiru) is Martin's younger brother, a young man who strives to be a detective. He is so curious that he uses his imagination to turn anything into a case, and he gets along with the main character. Since growing up, he hasn't had much conversation with his older brother, and feels like he has grown distant from him. Deep in his heart, he still loves his brother dearly. He wants to become a detective in order to find his missing parents by himself.

• Cecil's weapon preference is a staff.
• In the Rune Factory 5 Destined Person ♡ Diagnosis Quiz, Cecil was compared to Vishnal from Rune Factory 4/Special. If you're given him as a destined partner, the result reads: "Your destined partner is Cecil, a naive young man who longs to become a detective. Despite his cute and boyish looks, he has a habit of focusing on mysteries and incidents, with an attractive sense of curiosity capable of turning anything into a case. While it looks like your types are complete opposites, you are attracted to each other's differences and have great chemistry. For Cecil, we recommend a gift that's a little more mysterious and mature. You will bring each other closer together by supporting him with his research." The question featuring his chibi art is "Are you the type of person to devote themselves to what you like?"

  A big thank you to everybody playing Rune Factory 5! I'm Ayumu Murase, the voice of Cecil. We wrapped up recording for him just now. Cecil... I remember when they showed me a picture of him for the first time. He was wearing shorts—his whole outfit was kinda cute, actually—and it suggested he was a sensitive young man in his own way. He looked like this really sweet kid who wanted to be treated more seriously, even though he's not especially serious at heart...so he's still got some growing up to do. Anyway, I thought he was such an interesting character... And I wanted to make sure other people would feel the same way about him after listening to my performance. I had to record all sorts of lines for him. Battle cries, flavor text that covered the whole emotional spectrum, conversational feedback... I had to pull off a whole range of different emotions. I think the romance lines left the biggest impression on me. You can choose either a male or female protagonist. Either way, I could imagine them acting as a kind of older sibling toward him. Some of the romance lines actually get pretty flirty. And Cecil is the kind of guy who likes to get right up close and give you a big hug. I kept thinking about how this young man had so much potential, and that someday he'd have a family of his own for sure. Glimpses of that future ran through my mind during recording. Now, moving on to Rune Factory itself... I know that it takes place in a monster-filled world where you can farm for a living. I've never really had the chance to experience nature up-close like that. I just grew up too far away from it, I guess. If I ever went to a world like Rune Factory's, I'd definitely want to give milking a try. I'd let it ferment in a bag like they did in the old days and then make cheese out of it. Sometimes you just want to live that kind of pastoral life, you know? There's also fresh milk to consider, especially the delicious kind you get from milking first thing in the morning. I wouldn't mind trying fresh milk that hasn't undergone pasteurization or sterilization yet sometime. I'm pretty fascinated by that sort of lifestyle. But realistically speaking, I'd probably want to head back to the city after, like, three days. You're all probably wondering what on earth I'm babbling on about by now... Another big thank you to everybody for playing this game. I'd like to finish this off with a quick word from Cecil... So I'll let him wrap things up.
