Crops (Harvest Moon 64)

Crops

All crops must be planted on the farm in tilled soil in order to grow, and each seed bag holds nine plots worth of seeds. When planted, seeds will take root in a three by three plot centered around the tile where the seed bag was used. Once planted crops will not die until the first day of the next season, but they can be removed by tilling the seeds or cutting the grown plant with a scythe. Dead plants can't be brought back to life and can only be removed with a scythe. Each crop will enter the next stage of growth if the plot is watered at the end of the day. The watering can starts empty, but can be filled in the pond in the lower right corner of the farm or in the reservoir in the greenhouse. Plots can be watered with the watering can or by the rain (unless inside the greenhouse), though seeds planted will always start dry, even if it is actively raining. Festival days are always sunny, but if the weather was supposed to rain, all plots will get watered even though the weather appears sunny.

Crops can be sold for money, given as gifts for affection, or consumed to recover stamina. With a few exceptions, all seeds are purchased from Lillia's Flower Shop during their respective season. Pink Cat Mint flowers can only be bought in the Town Square during the Sowing Festival. If the farm has a completed greenhouse, all seeds will be available with a couple of exceptions. During winter, the slot that normally has grass seeds will have strawberry seeds instead.

Forageables

Forageable items appear once per day in the mountains and will change every season. They can be sold for money, given as gifts for affection, or consumed to recover stamina or fatigue.
