Lord Ethelberd is the Emperor of the Sechs Kingdom and main antagonist of Rune Factory 4. A tyrannical ruler and megalomaniac, Ethelberd plots to steal the Rune Spheres in order to gain power to rule the world. He is utterly ruthless and uncaring, thinking of humans as nothing more than pawns in his conquest, which is reflected in the hostile actions of the Sechs.
