Introduction
"YOU ONLY GOT THREE YEARS, JACKOBOY."
- Mayor Thomas
Back to Nature is the fifth installment in the Harvest Moon series, released for Playstation. It was later remade with the option to play as the female protagonist Claire in Harvest Moon: Back to Nature For Girl. The two games were then combined and released for PSP as Harvest Moon: Back to Nature Boy and Girl.
The protagonist Jack inherits his grandfather's farm which he has stopped visiting since he was young. Upon arrival, he realises that it is now neglected. He intends to bring the farm of Mineral Town back to its former glory within the time limit of three years, in which he has to befriend his fellow villagers also. On the first day of the third year, it is decided whether Jack was successful and stays, or if he failed his dream and has to move out of town.
