In Pioneers of Olive Town, you will encounter different types of weather, which change on a daily basis. Each day's weather will affect both your farm and your trips to Olive Town, including your crops, animals, and villager's daily schedules. In addition, certain events will only trigger during certain types of weather. Be sure to plan accordingly to live your farm life to the fullest!

Types of Weather

There are 5 types of weather conditions in the game, each with their own effects and advantages:

Weather Details

Sunny
The basic, most common weather occurrence. On sunny days, you can ring the coop or barn bell to let your animals graze outside. This feeds your animals, so on sunny days you can save fodder!

Rainy
On rainy days, your fields are automatically watered, and there is an increase in the number of ponds and puddles that can be found around your farm. You cannot graze your animals on rainy days.

Snowy
Snowy weather has the same effect as rainy weather, only it is winter-exclusive. Your fields will be automatically watered, but you will not be able to graze your animals.

Typhoon
Typhoons are extreme weather conditions that occur during the summer. Like rainy days, your fields will be automatically watered, but you will not be able to graze your animals.

Blizzard
Typhoons are extreme weather conditions that occur during the winter, and the effect is almost identical to a typhoon. Your fields will be automatically watered, but you will not be able to graze your animals.

Note on extreme weather conditions:
In this game, there is not much disadvantage in going out during a typhoon or a blizzard. Residents' schedules change during extreme weather, and in many cases they avoid going out and choose instead to stay at home.

Rules for Weather Patterns

  • Festival days and wedding days will always be sunny.
  • Typhoons and blizzards will not re-occur for three days after they have occurred.
  • Typhoons and blizzards can happen a maximum of 3 times per season.
  • If a typhoon or blizzard does not occur during the first 24 days of summer or winter respectively, there will be a guaranteed typhoon or blizzard on the 28th.
  • For every day that it does not rain or snow in summer or winter, the probability of rain/snow will increase each day.

Seasonal Weather Rates
