- Rod acts as the best man at Allen's wedding. Allen will do the same for Rod.
- Rod and Allen have been best friends since childhood. During the Starry Night Festival when talking with Rod, he says he should have taken a picture so he could brag to Allen he went out on a date with a cute girl. Allen has also referred to Rod as "little buddy".
