It seems the residents of Tsuyukusa want to relocate a monkey that has been running amok, and they've just about cornered the creature. Inari, unseen by the residents but visible to the Player, says the monkey isn't acting strangely - she lost her baby and she needs help finding them.

Inari is referred to "they" on the official website, and their gender changes depending on the gender of the player, making them the only non-binary character in the game.
