Trivia

  • The Japanese guide book, 牧場物語 やすらぎの樹 もっと遊べるブック (Bokujou Monogatari Yasuragi no Ki More Playbook), provides canon dialogue for the Harvest Sprites on page 63. This dialogue is only present in the book. Collin introduces himself and talks about plans of the future below.[1]

Introduction: ワイはコロボックルのお笑いたんとうや♪。 あふれるユーモアでみんなを笑わせる大事な役わりやで。
Translation: "I'm the comedian of the Harvest Sprites♪ I have the important role of making everyone laugh with my jokes."
About the future: ワイらこのままにぎやかにわいわいやっていきたいんや。コロボックルやさかいな♪
Translation: "We want to continue living boisterously. Go team Harvest Sprites♪"

  • In the above dialogue (and in-game), Collin uses the self-descriptor "ワイ" (Wai). This is a Japanese pronoun used in rural dialects, and in Japanese media it is usually used for comedic characters. Wai is also a regional pronoun used commonly in Northern Japan, which is where the Ainu people reside.[2] Harvest Sprites (コロボックル) are from Ainu mythology.
