Description

Alan is one of the five Harvest Sprites that serve the Harvest Goddess, and is considered their leader! His uniform outfit is a red smock and pom-pom hat.

Alan is responsible for the Harvest Sprites' decision to hide the Harvest Quilt.

Introduction

The Player is first contacted by Alan through a note left with the second half of the Harvest Quilt. The note reads:

"The Harvest Goddess is in trouble. Please help her. We're too weak... We're sleeping now. Wake us up! We're sleeping under beautiful flowers! Look near special trees.- Harvest Sprite Alan"

The Player meets Alan after using the Watering Can on his Flower Forme, located at the base of the aptly named Alan Tree. If Alan is the first Sprite the Player meets, he will encourage the Player to meet Ben, Daren, and Collin before completing his own recipe.

Schedule

Alan has no schedule because it is impossible to meet with him outside of story cutscenes and story-related sequences. Such conversations can be accessed at any time of day by watering Alan's flower, up until his recipe has been completed. He reappears briefly during the NewGame+ sequence, when the player has to make a decision. At this time you can talk to him for general dialogue until the sequence is completed.

Gifts

Alan cannot be given gifts or be befriended.

Once the Player wakes Alan from his slumber, he will be able to speak with the Player until his recipe is completed. Here is his entire dialogue.

Trivia

• The Japanese guide book, 牧場物語 やすらぎの樹 もっと遊べるブック (Bokujou Monogatari Yasuragi no Ki More Playbook), provides canon dialogue for the Harvest Sprites on page 63. This dialogue is only present in the book. Alan introduces himself and talks about plans of the future below.
  

Introduction: ぼくはコロボックルの中ではリーダー的そんざいなの〜。なんたって赤だからね。
Translation: "I'm the leader of the Harvest Sprites~ Because I'm the red one."
About the future: ぼくたち、コロボックル。産まれたときからこのまんま。きっとこれからもこのまんま。
Translation: We're Harvest Sprites. From the time we were born, we've always been like this. I'm sure it'll stay that way, too."
