Trivia

• The Japanese guide book, 牧場物語 やすらぎの樹 もっと遊べるブック (Bokujou Monogatari Yasuragi no Ki More Playbook), provides canon dialogue for the Harvest Sprites on page 63. This dialogue is only present in the book. Daren introduces himself and talks about plans of the future below.
  

Introduction: ぼくはコロボックルのお料理たんとうかな〜。 みんな、食べるばっかりで作らないの〜。
Translation: "I guess I'm considered the gourmet of the sprites~ Everyone else just eats and doesn't cook~"
About the future: みんな幸せになれたらぼくたちもしあわせなの〜
Translation: "When everyone is happy, we'll be happy too."

• In the above text, Daren refers to himself as "お料理たん" which can be loosely translated as "foodie/gourmet" with the implication of not only enjoying food, but cooking it as well. With that understanding, it is likely that Daren is the one who makes sure the other Sprites are eating properly.
