Description
Van is a travelling merchant visiting Mineral Town from the nearby Forget-Me-Not Valley. He wears a red dress shirt with white cravat, paired with blue pants and suspenders. His shirt's left chest pocket holds his pen, of which he uses for business contracts. Despite the fact that his eyes usually remain closed, he wears a pair of small, round glasses.
He runs an Item Shop every Wednesday, and Pet Shop on the 15th of every season.
Personality
He's a jovial man who speaks in a very refined manner, often saying that it is an honor to be able to sell his wares at such a fine place as Mineral Town. His penchant for business is only superseded by his love for community gatherings. This is noted by the fact that he will refuse to open shop on festival days, encouraging full town participation with no distractions.

- How to trigger: Have the first house upgrade, make 30 offerings to the Harvest Goddess, and wake up the next Wednesday morning.

- About: Van arrives on your doorstep to introduce himself as a new merchant in Mineral Town. He'll be opening shop on the second floor of the Inn every Wednesday of each season. His item shop dabbles in all sorts of rare trinkets and unique goods, so it's worth it to pay him a visit at least once! Van also mentions that on the 15th of every season, he opens a stall in Rose Plaza, to sell different kinds of pets and items for them. The shops he runs won't be open on festival days; participating in community events is important! With all of that out of the way, he bids his leave.
