Rune Factory
Rune Factory (ルーンファクトリ, Rune Factory) is a series of fantastical farm life simulation role-playing games. The series launched as a spin-off of the Harvest Moon series in 2006 by developer Neverland, which has currently ceased operations. Rune Factory has been translated and published by Natsume and XSeed in America, and by Rising Star in PAL territories.
The game is very similar to Harvest Moon in that its objective remains to be maintaining a successful farm, befriending the village's inhabitants and getting married. The player also nurtures crops and monsters (Akin to livestock), fishing, mining, collecting items, home and tool improvements and building personal friendships, but also includes dungeon crawling, leveling up and synthesizing several items. Players again must balance time and strength on a day-to-day basis until they complete the central story in the game, allowed to play limitlessly after in endless game play.
