Introduction

Grab hold of your your controller and get ready, 'cos this game will have you literally taking care of your farm! Using the Wii's tilt-sensitive controller, you'll be plowing the ground by moving your hand, or even watering your crops at the wiggle of your wrist. Whether you like it or not, using a new character designer, Tree of Tranquility takes Harvest Moon in a completely new direction; but change is always good, right? Either way, the Great Tree of Peace has withered, and taken the Goddess along too: it's up to you to not only restore the farm, but the fate of the land also rests in your hands.

Calvin Glitch

When Calvin gives you his 5-heart request, the Wii is frozen completely. There is a 100% occurrence for all copies which are bought before April 2009 (which is when Natsume has fixed the glitch), which means all players of this game will suffer from this glitch when triggered for all copies bought before April 2009 . So if you're a female player, you will not be able to marry Calvin in those copies. Unless you bought this after April 2009, you will suffer from this glitch.

Disappearing Child Glitch

There is a glitch in the game that will cause your children to go missing completely, and besides temporarily returning for Child's Day, permanently. Though some confuse this with the Missing Child events, this does not involve any cutscenes, and when your child is tracked, they are listed in an area called "None Area Name". Though the glitch is known to affect both the American and Japanese versions of the game, at the time of writing. It has been confirmed by a moderator of the Natsume Message Board that the glitch is also found in the European/PAL Version. Fortunately though, the glitch appears to be very rare, with most players never experiencing it, let alone hearing of it. More information can be obtained here, in the Disappearing Child Glitch FAQ Unconfirmed Possible Fix: Turning the Music Volume down to zero in the options menu seems to make the child disappear. Upon turning the music back up, the child will reappear again.
