Rune Factory 3 Special (ルーンファクトリー3スペシャル, (Ruun Fakutorii 3 Supesharu)) is a remastered version of the beloved classic released in 2009, Rune Factory 3. Protagonist Micah returns to go on more wool-some adventure through the beautiful town of Sharance and its surroundings!
Newlywed Mode has been added, featuring standalone adventures only unlocked after marriage to one of the 11 bachelorettes. Another Episode, or picture stories starring characters in-game and accompanied by full voice acting have also been added. Now a reoccurring feature, the game difficulty mode "Hell" can be selected to challenge veteran game players.
In addition to improved graphics, all of the character models have been redesigned in 3D.
Story
Micah's tale begins as he finds himself stranded near Sharance with amnesia and the strange ability to transform into a golden wooly. He's invited to move into the town's iconic Sharance Tree and work the farmland underneath it. While he tends to the tree, he finds that it hasn't grown for decades. The deterioration of the Sharance Tree has been mirrored in its surrounding areas, leading to decay.
After finding he can transform into a golden wooly, Micah is able to enter the Univir settlement located in the desert. The Univir are wary of humans, and only accept the presence of monsters in their village. In the process of befriending the villagers of Sharance and the villager of the Univir settlement, he stumbles on the knowledge of a growing distrust between Univir and humans that began years before, which puts him in a position of being able to mediate for the two and restore peace.
There are 11 marriage candidates to choose from, and you are able to have a child.
