About
I'm ShutterbugOwl. I'm involved in photography and I like owls, hence the name.
I've been a fan of the Bokujou Monogatari series since I was young. My first introduction to the series, and console gaming period, was Harvest Moon 64, and shortly after, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life on Gamecube. I was hooked from the first time I put the cartiridge in the console! I love experiencing the charming lives of the game's characters and the challenge of building relationships with them in order to learn their personal stories. I still remember the hours I spent trying to get close to Dia in Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley so that I could see her Winter event. As well as Celia's brother in AWL.
Since the day I found the guide for Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley, I've been an avid HM guide collector, going so far as to visit GameStops to find guides they were going to throw away or buying them for a dollor, or stuffing just one more Japanese guide in my checked luggage so that I could get it on the place. There are two guides that have eluded me for years though....HM:ToT and HM:AP, so if you know where I can find them cheap, hit me up!
I also love Rune Factory! Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny (Oceans) was my first RF game and will always have a special place in my heart, followed closely by RF4.
I'm new to the RanchStory Wiki, but I've been involved in translating the Japanese guidebooks since Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. Currently, I'm working alongside the RS team to translate, input information, and edit photos.
