The game opens with Nobita and Doraemon sitting under a large tree next to a lush, forested spring. As Nobita asks Doraemon if they can stay there just a little longer, Nobita wakes up. Having fallen asleep while trying to think of a summer project for school, he's relieved that his mother didn't find out. Trying to get back on track, Nobita tries to think up a storm, but continues draw a complete bank. Remembering the place in his dreams, he wishes he could go back and takes another nap, hoping it'll jog some ideas. Mom finds him this time and orders him to stop napping and get back to his homework.
Nobita (Noby) is on summer vacation and needs to come up with an idea for his summer project to complete his homework, but he keeps drawing a blank. Frustrated, he decides to go outside where he finds a mysterious, spiral seed on the ground. Thinking to himself, 'Could it be...a new species?', he decides to grow the seed for his project.

Ryam tells them he is there to lay down some of the local laws, the most important being that all children are required to work. Gobsmacked, the group sets out to find a place to work.  


When he returns, the others are awake and wondering how they will get home. He tells them that he chased after the monkeys who stole his gadgets, but was stopped by a bear. With the Anywhere Door gone, Doraemon tells them they're all stuck until he can find them again.
As they go from villager to villager, Sue, Sneech, Big G, and Doraemon find a place to work - everyone except Noby. Dejected, he returns back to Harmon and Ravi's. Ravi tells him to relax and begins helping Harmon with the farming. Seeing the two of them, Noby asks if he can help out on their farm. Harmon thinks about it for a second, and then tells him that they actually have a second farm where he can stay. It's too much for the two of them to handle, so Noby staying there would be a major help.  
 
The group brainstorms what where they are, speculating that it might be another country super far away. However, Doraemon says that the storm that brought them there wasn't normal and that it is possible they were sucked into a wrinkle in time and space - and now it was possible they had been deposited in a different time period. Nobita asks Doraemon if they could just use his Time Belt, but it was out for repairs when they were sucked into the time hole. With no other options, they decide to go explore their new surroundings.
 
Eventually, they find a town and excitedly go to find someone who may be able to help them. As they talk excitedly in front of a house, a young boy comes out and starts speaking to them in a strange, foreign language. Luckily, Doraemon had a Translation Gummy and they convince the boy to eat it. Now that he can understand them, the group explains who they are and how they found themselves in his town.
 
The young boy introduces himself as Harmon and tells them that he lives in a farm over yonder. Seeing that the friends are in a bind, he offers to let them stay at his farm. Inside, the group meets Ravi, Harmon's grandmother. Harmon tells her that Noby and his friends said a huge storm blew them there. Ravi is unsurprised by this and says, "Well, they wouldn't be the first..." Noby is confused by this, but Harmon brushes off what his granny said and tells them not to worry about it because she says weird stuff like that sometimes. The group asks if anyone else lives in the town and, for the first time, they know the name of the place they find themselves in: Natura.
 
Realizing the time, Harmon runs outside to water his crops, giving the friends a chance to ask Ravi more quesitons. Noby asks if Ravi knows what happened to them and she replies, "The storms come and go, bringing people and carrying them away..." Doraemon panics for a moment, but Ravi tells them that there is no need to fret because they have the protection of the Elder Tree. Sue asks what she means and Ravi tells them that the big tree by the spring protects their town, so there is no need to worry because it's safe there.
 
The group decides to brainstorm how their going to get home and eventually end up arguing. Ravi tells them that the Goddess isn't a big fan of conflict and that they shouldn't fight. The group asks about this mysterious Goddess and are told that she is the goddess of salvation for the town who protects the Elder Tree. Harmon then comes in and asks his granny if she's talking about the Goddess again. Noby asks him if he knows what she's talking about and is told that it is just some fairy tale that she made up, but that it is getting late so they should all go to sleep. The group thanks him and Ravi offers to share her bed with Sue, who happily accepts. Before bed though, Ravi offers to cook and Sue lends her a hand.
 
The next morning, they wake up and find Harmon is already gone. Ravi tells them that he's gone into town. When he returns, the mayor of Nature, Ryam is with him. After some questions, he says that he is there to lay down some of the local laws, the most important being that all children are required to work. The group is gobsmacked by his words, but Ryam explains that this is their way and even Harmon works on the farm. Ravi says that the children won't be there forever, so surely he could bend the rules just this once. Conflicted, the mayor thinks about it and then says that he'll let it slide if Ravi insists, but that if they're just sitting around twiddling their thumbs he'll put them to work.
 
After Ravi leaves, the group wonders why they have to do work, but then agree that they want to help everyone out if they're stuck there. After eating, the group goes out to explore the town and try to find somewhere they can work, where Harmon gives a brief tutorial.
 
The group meets everyone in West Natura, but cannot find anyone to stay with. Harmon recommends they try East Natura, where most of the shops are. Sneech, who has found the restaurant, asks if he can pitch in there because he wants to work with someone responsible like Eria. Plus, Cafet's food is gourmet. Eria and Cafet happily accept. Noby and Doraemon ask if they can also help out and are told there isn't enough room for everyone, so the two set off to find somewhere to stay.
 
At the clinic, they find that Sue has taken the initiative to ask if she can work there. Dr. Regis and Serena accept, as they always need another pair of hands. Noby and Doraemon ask the doctor if they can also work there, but are told they only need one helper, so they head off again.  
 
Still not having any luck, Noby, Doraemon and Big G are taken to the carpenter's, where they meet Pent. Big G asks if he can be Pent's apprentice, and is told to do as he pleases. Noby and Doraemon again ask if they can also help, but are told there is only need for one apprentice. Having run out of options, they go to the mayor's house. Outside, they begin arguing and Ryam comes out and yells out them, asking what they are doing. Doraemon says that he is looking for a gadget, but he doesn't believe him and makes him go inside with him. After a while, Noby runs inside after him, getting to Ryam's office just in time to hear him say that Doraemon is staying with him so he can keep an eye on him. Noby storms out, upset that he still hasn't found a place to stay.
 
Back at Harmon and Ravi's he tells them what has happened. Ravi tells him to relax and begins helping Harmon with the farming. Seeing the two of them, Noby asks if he can help out on their farm.
