Description
Mary is the local librarian of Flowerbud Village. At the library she'll keep books for you, containing such topics as plants and insects, and allow you access to the trade center. She is the only character in GBC2 that is a returning character from another game without counting Ken sharing the appearance of one of the unnamed carpenters in Harvest Moon 64.
Gifts
Birthday Gift: A picture you could normally only get from linking with Legend of the River King 2; making befriending her vital for completionists.

Time Capsule
After befriending Mary, she may ask you to come to the area around the hot springs. After some dialogue, you'll end up putting messages in a time capsule and told to come back in 3 years. Treasure Map
One day while cleaning a bookshelf, Mary will find a treasure map. You'll have to solve a slide puzzle mini-game to decipher it. Afterwards, in your Q&A will be added a further hint that points you to Daisy's flower shop. From there you have to complete the map with another player in the library's trade menu. After completing the slide puzzle, you can purchase a slide puzzle video game at the tool shop.
Moon Viewing Festival
You are rewarded with a photo for your album for participating in the Moon Viewing Festival with Mary on the mountain side.
