'''Van''' (バァン, Baan) is a traveling merchant visiting Mineral Town from the nearby Forgotten Valley. Van is a travelling merchant visiting Mineral Town from the nearby Forget-Me-Not Valley. He wears a red dress shirt with white cravat, paired with blue pants and suspenders. His shirt's left chest pocket holds his pen, of which he uses for business contracts. Despite the fact that his eyes usually remain closed, he wears a pair of small, round glasses.

He's a jovial man who speaks in a very refined manner, often saying that it is an honor to be able to sell his wares at such a fine place as Mineral Town. His penchant for business is only superseded by his love for community gatherings. This is noted by the fact that he will refuse to open shop on festival days, encouraging full town participation with no distractions.
