Save the Homeland is a unique title which offers players the chance to complete the game by following different Paths. These Paths are discovered by increasing your friendship with Sugar Valley's residents. While there are 10 Paths offered in the game, only 9 of them lead to a conclusion of the story.

Game Over

This ending can occur by failing to complete one of the 9 story-related Paths, or by going through the whole year without participating in a Path.
The scene shows the Sprites and the Harvest Goddess lamenting the town's ruin, with Nic stating they'll have to pack their bags and move elsewhere. The Harvest Goddess leaves to the forest, and the camera pans to Toy, who falls to one knee before the camera fades out.
